Wonderful Watercolours

Barbara’s classes are for anyone who has ever thought: “I wish I could paint!” You will explore the medium of watercolour and enter a world of colour, shape, line & texture. You will also learn to see the world around you with new eyes and most importantly, have fun! This session we are interesting in going bolder and brighter. Working with vibrant darks and luminous lights, we will have fun mixing, pouring and laying down washes of colour to develop mood and atmosphere. We will do some outdoor sketching, talk about composition & design, and encourage each other to develop our own unique style.

Nancy Joy Wilson
Start painting in the new year with some fresh techniques! Artist, Nancy Joy Wilson, will help you rethink your approach to mixed media with a new technique presented each class. Experiment with photo transfers, oil painting, underpainting strategies, encaustic and collage. We teach healthy methods of art making. Join prominent encaustic artist, Susan Fisher, in this one-day intensive workshop for encaustic painting using the non-toxic Egyptian technique. Susan teaches at the Haliburton School of the Arts and has specialized in encaustic for 10 years. Encaustic is a wax-based media which lends itself to creative experimentation and the session will accommodate beginners and advanced participants. Treat yourself to this expressive workshop using healthy methods.
